As you might know, I had a hard December with Lucy. Emphasis on "I". Because Lucy is living her best life. Let me explain... A month ago we were at the dog's annual exam and our vet felt a big mass in Lucy's abdomen. An xray confirmed that Lucy has a giant mass on her spleen. This led to more tests a week later at the specialty vet. It turns our that Lucy has something called splenic mass hemangiosarcoma. As you might know, we've had quite a week with Lucy. After finding a mass on her spleen last week, we spent this past Tuesday getting comprehensive tests to see what we're dealing with. We came to the conclusion that there's more than 1 mass and it's most likely a cancer called hemangiosarcoma (also known as HSA). Surgery isn't an option.
