how I stay calm when life is a a lot
Hey [FORMATTED_FIRST_NAME GOES HERE], Several years ago I had a collage of manifestation post-it notes stuck inside my bathroom cabinet. Every day I would see words like CALM. ABUNDANCE. ENERGY! that I scrawled in Sharpie on little neon squares. Out of all the manifesting words, what I wanted most was a calm life. Drama-free, low-stress. Easy. I told one of my friends how this calm lifestyle was what I wanted more than anything and she told me, "You're already the calmest person I know." Sometimes we're too close to ourselves to see what others see. I know you're working hard to get what you want and you might be feeling stressed, overwhelmed and unsure of what the future holds for your pet business. So, first of all... you got this, [FORMATTED_FIRST_NAME GOES HERE]! I see what you're doing and it's amazing. And second... here's a few things I do to stay calm: Put my phone far, far away.Nothing on my phone makes me feel calm and in control. Scrolling makes my heart race. News apps are depressing and the blue light alone makes my brain do funky things. Make a to-do list (on paper since I already hid my phone)I write down anything that comes to mind. Even if it's something that I don't need to do for 6 months. The goal is to get the spiraling list out of my head. Sometimes it's a really long list and sometimes I'm surprised how short it is. Take walk, ideally with dogs in the woods.Walking around the city does not make me feel calm so I make an effort to go to the woods as much as possible. Science proves that being around trees reduces stress. This usually involves a short drive, but it's worth it. Setting up plans with friends.I don't have to meet up with my friends right this very minute, but when I'm feeling overwhelmed and stressed, I reach out and put a walk, coffee or dinner on our calendars. It gives me something to look forward to and helps me feel connected. Making sales!Talking about money stresses some people out, but not me! Seeing petpreneurs enroll in one of my programs or services is a huge mood booster! It's not all about money... although hitting my income goal for the month does seriously help me feel calm. More than that, whenever I make a sale I know that someone is getting the very best that I have to offer. Whether it's a 1:1 call, access to my membership or a brand-new email welcome sequence. So let's have a SALE to help us all feel a little calmer.
